February 6th, 2012

We’ve just updated the Our Team page to include new entries from Luca and Sandra.

If you’d like to get to know us a little better, click on the names on the Our Team page – you’ll see it reveals a little bit about each person here at Painted Dog.

In The Spirit Of The Holidays…

December 16th, 2011

Christmas is a funny time in Australia, given that so much of the imagery we get is winter-oriented but it is so hot here at that time of year.

In that vein… before:

Melbourne Cup Day At The Raffles

November 10th, 2011

Although it seems like an age ago, it was only last week that the Painted Dog team went to the Raffles in Applecross to eat and drink a lot celebrate the Melbourne Cup.

A few people won money, lots of laughs were had and the hardy few retired to the downstairs bar after lunch to continue the socialising.

A few pictures to commemorate the day: Garreth, Sarah and Anna show the dress standards we at Painted Dog meet every day -

Painted Dog, Young People and Alcohol

October 20th, 2011

Painted Dog recently had the privilege of conducting research among young Western Australians aged 14 to 17 years on behalf of Michelle Scott, the Commissioner for Children and Young People. We explored young people’s views on alcohol and the harm it can cause to both individuals and the community.

The complex and delicate research was able to bring young people themselves into the debate around teen drinking and identified those strategies most likely to change risky behaviour. This project also provided an opportunity to utilise new and innovative qualitative techniques specific to children and young people. Michelle Scott recently wrote about the outcomes of the research – you can see her opinion piece here on the CCYP site.
